Summer Story and Photo Competition

Send us a short story (150 words or less) and photos of your favourite Greater Hobart Trail. There are some great prizes to be won for the best entries.

Greater Hobart Trails wants to hear from you, locals and visitors alike, to find out which track or trail, forest or coastal walk, bushland stroll or even bushland park means the most to you.

It could be the fern glade walk in the foothills of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, or a track that takes you through the native saltmarshes in flower along the Derwent in Brighton.

There are a range of walks in the Greater Hobart region to suit everyone, from easy walks for the whole family to more challenging tracks for the experienced bushwalker.

Some of these places have an emotional pull for us, for others it is about the thrill of a mountain bike ride, time with our family or the spectacular views afforded from our favourite trail.

So tell us, in 150 words or less, where your favourite walk, run or ride is and what makes it so special for you. Your favourite track and place must be listed on the Greater Hobart Trails website and as part of your entry we would love to see photos of you on the track.

When you’ve entered, please share your photos on social media and tag Greater Hobart Trails @greaterhobarttrails so we can share them too.
